Claim your minute

B’Shaa Achas is a global initiative promoting continuous Torah study every moment of every day, through individual daily minute-long commitments. By claiming one minute per a day to consistently devote to learning, YOU will play a crucial role in this revolutionary initiative.

You Choose the Minute

You choose the topic that interests you, you choose the moment that works for you. Your time is precious, and we're here to help you maximize it with a small commitment that has a big impact.

We’ll Make It Easy

With daily reminder texts, we will act as your accountability partner to help you stay dedicated to your commitment. We are here to help YOU stay on track!

In a world where learning is our lifeline, every minute counts.

Can we count on you?

Frequently asked questions

Am I the only one reserving my minute?

No, minutes may be reserved by multiple people. You can see how many people reserved each minute via the interactive chart at the top of the page.

Why only one minute?

As B’Shaa Achas represents a commitment to daily Torah study at a consistent time, we chose a time allotment that we believe is attainable and feasible for everyone—every day of the year.

What if I want to learn for more than one minute?

By all means! B’Shaa Achas aims to supplement rather than replace other daily Torah study.

Why can’t I select more than one minute?

While we would certainly encourage you to study Torah for more than one minute each day, we deliberately do not allow for the selection of more than one minute at a time as part of the B’Shaa Achas program. In doing so, we hope to steer participants towards making a smaller but hopefully longer-lasting commitment rather than a larger commitment that may prove less feasible in the long term. This said, should you wish to select multiple B’Shaa Achas minutes notwithstanding, you are free to do so by completing the submission form multiple times. We would encourage you, however, to begin with just one minute.

I already have a set “seder” for daily Torah study, is B’Shaa Achas for me?

Yes, absolutely! Consider choosing a minute that falls out during your seder, during which you would already be learning—the challenge will then be maintaining that minute of daily Torah study even when not otherwise learning your seder on a given day (e.g., if you are conflicted out of your seder for a family simcha or the like or do not otherwise learn at that time on Shabbos or Yom Tov, etc.).

What should I learn?

You are free to learn whatever Torah topic you like. Some ideas include a daily Mishna (check out AllMishnah) or halacha (Check out Halacha Moment), a chapter of Tehillim, or joining a WhatsApp chat for daily inspirational videos such as those by Meaningful Minute and/or Vayimaen (see a more fulsome list here).

Does taking on this commitment count as a “Neder”?

No, taking on this commitment does not count as a Neder (we kindly point your attention to the small text on the bottom of the submission form saying so), though we would encourage you to treat it as one!

What if I can’t make my minute one day?

While we would encourage you to make every effort to learn your minute, we understand that in a rare instance, this may be unfeasible. To address this, we’ve created a WhatsApp group (click here to join) where participants can “trade” their minute on a one-off basis with another participant who may also be unable to make their particular minute. This ensures that each minute of the day is still being accounted for.

How can I help spread the word about this initiative?

There are many ways to spread the word! Start by sharing the link to our website on your social media profiles and update your WhatsApp status. You can sign up for our email list and forward the emails to friends and family. We also encourage you to post the information on community boards and share through your shul's email list. Lastly, don’t ever forget the power of simply spreading the word to friends, family and colleagues in conversations!
